Senior Accountant

A Multinational ICT Group based in Lebanon is looking for an ambitious local resident Senior Accountant for Accra-Ghana. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintains and enforces the generally accepted Accounting Standards, ensures the accounting operations, especially the control system, transactions, and processing operations. 
• Oversees the operations of the accounting department, including the organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
• Manages and monitors all the components of working capital (Current assets and current liabilities) to ensure the most financially efficient operation of the entity.
• Follow up on collection policy to ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.
• Ensures and validates that bank reconciliations are completed properly and on a timely basis.
• Ensures that required internal & external debt payments are made on a timely basis.
• Maintains orderly and secure accounting filing system (Soft and Hard Filing).
• Maintains control over the accounting transactions.
• Handles the relations with the Tax Administration(GRA) and declarations. (SSNIT/PETRA/VAT/etc)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Additional Degree or Certification is a Plus.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting 
• Knowledge in accounting software (SAGE is a must)
• Languages: English
